The biggest youth movement in Tanzania totaling to 95 member youth NGOs and CBOs across the nation. The Mission, Vision and Goal stay to be the same, addressing issues of young people at policy platforms and effecting changes in the grassroots through a broad network of youth development practitioners

In 2007 the TYC has experienced a huge organizational restructuring, whereby decentralization has become a key agenda in the Secretariat. TYC has also shaped its focus limiting it to three Key areas namely

1. National Development Policies

2. Environment

3. Youth Health and Gender reflecting the MDGs 3&6

           THE YOUTH ACTIVITY CENTRE
Tanzania Youth Coalition in collaboration with FIC a Danish national non profit NGO came up with the idea of starting up a Centre were youth who are out of school would be able to obtain short course that would made them employable through giving them skills that are needed in the the world of employment. It was created on 2006 and was approved on the year 2008 up to now the project has already being initiated. Course which are being offered by the Centre are Entrepreneurship training,Marketing skills, Citizen journalism training, Development courses For Youth NGOs &CBOs, Project Management Trainings, Financial Management Skills and more your are all welcome

The Tanzania Youth Coalition (TYC) has conducted an awareness campaign on youth regarding the MDGs.The awareness campaign was from the 15-17 October.
